Ziad Rahbani's Funeral Details: A Farewell from Fairouz

Ziad Rahbani, the iconic Lebanese musician and playwright, passed away on Saturday at the age of 69. His funeral will take place on Monday, as announced by the Rahbani family.

Funeral Location & Time

The funeral prayer will be held at the Church of Our Lady of the Dormition in Al-Muhayditha, Bikfaya, Lebanon, at 4:00 PM.

The body will be transferred from Al-Khoury Hospital in Hamra, Beirut, to Bikfaya, where the funeral Mass will be conducted.

Lebanese legend Fairouz is expected to bid a final farewell to her son during the ceremony.

🎭 Who Was Ziad Rahbani?

Ziad Rahbani was the son of Fairouz and the late Assi Rahbani. He was one of Lebanon’s most innovative musical and theatrical voices.

He launched his career in the early 1970s with his first major play, "Sahriyyeh" (Evening Gathering).

Throughout his life, he composed and arranged numerous songs for his mother, marking a distinct new phase in her music.

His theatrical works were famous for their bold political and social commentary, combined with humor and wit.
