Nottingham Stuns Tottenham, Climbs to Third in Premier League

Nottingham Forest pulled off a valuable 2-1 away win against Tottenham Hotspur, moving up to third place in the Premier League standings.

After a series of disappointing results that hindered their Champions League ambitions, Forest bounced back in this match under coach Nuno Espírito Santo. The first goal came just five minutes in from a corner kick by Elliot Anderson that deflected into the net.

VAR ruled out a goal by Chris Wood in the 10th minute, but Forest doubled their lead with a brilliant header in the 16th minute — the striker’s 19th goal of the season.

Despite Tottenham improving in the second half and Richarlison scoring in the 87th minute, Forest held firm to secure all three points. They now leapfrog Chelsea, Manchester City, and Newcastle United in the race for a top-five finish, reaching 60 points.

Tottenham, meanwhile, suffered their 18th league defeat and remain in 16th place with 37 points, despite having reached the Europa League semifinals.
