According to the South Korean site "The Elec," Apple has asked two companies to develop OLED screens that eliminate all the edges surrounding the iPhone’s display.

This project requires several technical improvements, such as reducing the thickness of the cover layer and integrating camera components under the screen. These modifications will take time before large-scale production can begin, presenting significant challenges in manufacturing screens with these specifications.

Additionally, Samsung is also working on an edge-less OLED panel called "All Around Full Screen," which could be used in future smartphones, including Apple's upcoming models. However, this technology faces both technical challenges and high costs, which could impact the price of future devices.

These innovations are expected to take a considerable amount of time to reach consumers, with the first iPhones featuring this technology likely not appearing until after 2026.
